We regard our job as two-fold: to provide a safe education for our students--and a solid sense of security for their families. To achieve these goals, we offer various services.

Is the school accredited?

Yes we are, in fact our school received our Accreditation "without reservation" in addition to EXEMPLARY RECOGNITION FOR OUR STUDENT SERVICES from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and WRISA in October 2005.

What grades to you have?

We have all day 3-year-old kindergarten all the way up to 8th grade. We have a total enrollment of 220 and the average classroom size is 22 students to one teacher.

What are the school hours?

Our first morning bell rings at 7:50am and our release bell rings at 3:00pm. We also have a State-licensed Extended Day Program and the hours of our EDP are: 6:00-7:50am and 3:00-6:00pm.

Does my child have to wear a uniform? If so, what is the uniform policy?

Uniforms can only be purchased at The Uniform Place (811 N. 68th St., Milwaukee). The 3-year-olds in the 3K program are not required to wear the school uniform but it is suggested, although they are required to adhere to the guidelines of the dress code. ONLY the following clothes are appropriate as follows: BOTTOMS: GIRLS - Navy pants (without cuffs), jumpers and knee-length skirts in the Belair Plaid and Navy walking-length shorts. BOYS - Navy pants (without cuffs) and Navy walking-length shorts. SHIRTS: The following shirts are to be worn with long or short sleeves in red, navy, hunter green, yellow or white: Polos, Turtlenecks, Button-down oxford and Round or pointed collar blouse. Only solid white undershirts are to be worn underneath uniform shirts. All shirts/blouses must have collars and must be tucked in at all times. SWEATERS: Only navy pullover crew neck or v-neck,vests and button cardigans. Sweaters must be worn over a collared shirt underneath. A St. Catherine School sweatshirt with the logo on it (which is for sale in the school store) is the only sweatshirt permitted to be worn and a collared shirt must be worn underneath. SOCKS: Uniform socks are mandatory at all times and must be ABOVE the ankle bone and visible. Socks must match and should be solid white or navy. For the girls, anklets, tights, and knee-hi’s should be solid white or navy. No “sport socks”. BELTS: Plain black, brown or navy belts must be worn at the waist at all times. SHOES: Shoes must be soft soled, non-marking with primary color of black or white with only one other color. Primary color of shoes is defined as at least half of the shoes are the required color. Shoes are to be with ties, Velcro or slip-ons. The maximum heel height is one inch. Flip-flops, clogs without backs and beach-type shoes are prohibited. Shoelaces must be a matching pair.

How do I pay for my child to attend your school?

For 3K: Upon registration there is a $35.00 per family registration fee to cover the costs of supplies, mats, etc. Weekly fees for our 3-year-old kindergarten program is $200.00. We also accept Wisconsin Shares - Child Care Subsidy Program. If you are unsure of your financial eligibility, please call call 888-713-KIDS (5437), or your local Wisconsin Job Center, W-2 agency. For grades 4K-8th: Tuition for a parishioner is $1,690 for 1 child or for 1 child of a non-parishioner it is $2,944. Our school is a participant in the Milwaukee Parental School Choice program. The program gives children from low-income families an opportunity to enroll in a Catholic school. If you are unsure of your financial eligibility, please call the school principal. Other types of financial assistance may also be available.

Do you have a hot lunch program or do I need to pack my child a lunch everyday?

We have a bag breakfast, which is eaten in the classroom and a hot lunch program or you may choose to pack your child a healthy bag lunch instead. A menu is sent home monthly, so you may plan ahead your child's school meal plan.
