Before and After School CHILDCARE
Cougar Camp keeps classroom fun going beyond the school day through before and after school care. Parents who need additional care for their children are able to enroll in this additional service, which serves students from 6:30 a.m. until the first bell and then after classes until 6 p.m.
During camp, students can take advantage of homework assistance, get creative with arts and crafts, and enjoy both indoor and outdoor play. A snack and drink are both provided during after-school care; on half days, students will bring their school-provided bag lunches down to eat.
Cougar Camp is available only for registered St. Catherine students during the school year. It is offered on days school is in session, including early dismissal days. There are additional opportunities for care during Christmas, Easter, and summer breaks.
Children are completely supervised until they are picked up by a parent or guardian. A parent must sign in his or her child in the morning and sign the child out in the evening. In case of an emergency, parents are notified according to the information provided on the Registration Form.
Families using the service must be registered. There is an annual registration fee of $10 per family. Cougar Camp is billed at a rate of $5 per hour (or fraction thereof). To help make the care more affordable, our Extended Care program (Cougar Camp) is licensed, Youngstar rated, and Wisconsin Shares (W2) approved. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their information is regularly updated with Wisconsin Shares if they qualify for assistance.
